14 years after its last title at the Belgian championship, Festival Brass Band crowned itself champion again.
Lode Vloemans new principal euphonium
Lode Vloemans was appointed principal euphonium with immediate effect. The young talent from Nick Ost's class is studying at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and won auditions to join the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides in August 2022.
Leen Vandenhende nominated for '2021 band of the year' by 4barsrest
The online brass band platform 4barsrest annually presents virtual awards for exceptional merits during the past year. There are awards for soloists, conductors, newcomers, contestants and bands. In addition, at the end of each year, they put together a fictitious band with the - according to 4barsrest - best players from all over the brass band world.
